The Environment Agency’s 2010 WHERE TO FISH Guide

The Environment Agency are currently updating their extremely useful WHERE TO FISH Guide for the Northumbria Region in 2010. For anyone who hasn’t seen the 2009 version, it is an A5 booklet with listings of most of the fisheries in the North East, including directions, telephone contacts and (where appropriate) email addresses. To produce the new edition, the EA need up-to-date information from as many Commercial Fisheries and Angling Clubs/Associations in the region as possible, particularly those that are either new or have not sent information before. To be included please telephone EA Fisheries Technical Officer Robbie Stevenson on 0191 203 4266 or email robert.stephenson@environment-agency.gov.uk. A simple form will be sent out for you to complete and return to the Agency. The WHERE TO FISH Guide is distributed throughout the area via mailing lists and the tackle trade. In other regions it’s been hugely successful – there’s no reason why it can’t become so in the North East as well!
